Barge Engineer Job | Location Uganda
CA Oil & Gas is seeking a Barge Engineer for a long-term contract in Uganda on a 28/28 rotation.
The Barge Engineer LOCATION is at Lake Albert, and related Waterway.
The Barge Engineer PRIMARY FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
The potential Barge Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Marine base Coordinator and Barge Captain in all barge and marine activities. The successful and needed Barge is required to identify and implement maintenance and service program for all Marine Vessels. Other tasks of the ideal Barge Engineer include completing daily maintenance and fuel logs, as well as other records as stipulated in the IOM Model Safety Regulations for Inland Waterways. A critical aspect to the Barge Engineer overall responsibility is to ensure that Company HSE policies and procedures are maintained to the highest level.
Barge Engineer REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS
With regards to the Barge Engineer’s Education requirements, Marine Barge /ships Engineer MAJOR Engineer Class 2 is a must. The wanted Barge Engineer needs to have 2 years experience as a holder of an Engineer Class 3 certificate and 1 year as an Officer in charge of an engineering watch on vessel of propulsion power of not less than 384 KW.
Barge Engineer | KNOWLEDGE
The Barge Engineer must have extensive knowledge of Marine Diesel and Propulsion units. It’s an /165 drives. The right Bargen Engineer should have good knowledge of engineering practices and should understanding of marine operations and procedures.
