Indian Ocean has received great attention from Asia as the USSG had carried out a study that found that the Indian Ocean contains 27.6 billion barrels of oil, 441.1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, and 13.77 billion barrels of natural gas liquids. The oil boom in Western Indian Ocean has stirred a lot of interest from the world and exploration studies across the region are being done.
