Job Description:


Our client, one of Africa’s leading petroleum distribution and marketing companies, is seeking an experienced Supply Manager to handle logistics, costing, monitor stock, collaborate with vendors and suppliers and review supply performance of their various products while reporting into the Operations Manager.


 


Responsibilities:


  • To manage costing, invoicing and profitability co-ordination and analysis of crude oil, raw materials and finished product imports.
  • Plan, manage and optimize supply and demand of crude, raw materials and finished products. Optimizing source and procurement and plan adequate stocks at all company outlets (depots). 
  • Ensure no stock out at any time and managing security level stocks.
  • Manage borrow/loan product exchanges with other marketers.
  • Steward crude oil economics for imports and refining. Planning most optimal refinery crude programs for maximum profitability.
  • Ensure accurate product costing for company products.
  • Liaison with oil industry members, group and any relevant body on industry supply issues.
  • Assist in preparation and review of new and existing agreements relating to supply.
  • Monitor and ensure that stock movements are booked and tally with third party statements.
  • Monitor stock, ensure that physical stocks movements are well recorded, and inventory of physical stocks are performed daily and recorded on the system and at the stock card as per the procedure.
  • Ensure stock reconciliation are performed timely and correctly.
  • Comply strictly with stock procedures.
  • To steward and review supply performance.


 


Requirements: Qualification and Skill


  • A tertiary qualification / degree in the technical, sciences, accounting, or business field.
  • At least 8 years hands-on supply experience in the oil industry.
  • Development and coaching experience required.
  • Supply delivery modes experience required.
  • Refinery economics and planning experience required.
  • Price exposure and risk management experience required.
  • Oil contracts and commercial implication’s experience required.
  • Mechanics of oil trading experience required.
